GO SOX!

I posted below but I forgot to say this,
I see someone everyday that ends every sentence with one or the other
sayings:
"and all"
"and everything"
"stuff like that"
or my favorite:
"and all and everything and stuff like that"
LOL, it is so distracting.... HA!
Well, I will only say this, as not to jinx my team, but we've made it to the
World Series! YIPPIE! I'm like a ten year old boy this week....all
superstitious with a Sox Shrine set up and everything :)
The other night, we had a MAJOR BREAKTHROUGH with Carson. Now to those
mothers of well-behaved children, just skip this paragraph, because you
wouldn't understand, I am the mother of an 8 year old smart mouthing, sassy
little boy, and he has been that way since he turned two. There is no
punishment or discipline that works for Jameson. No Super Nanny time outs,
no spanking, no restriction, nothing makes him stop talking back. Those
pictures of him can be deceitful! I love that boy with every bit of my
heart, but Jameson back talks me about 5 times a day, and no punishment
stops him, he just has to make his point (he got that from me). Now I tell
you that to say this,,, the other night Carson was throwing a pure fit. Yes,
the first full fledged temper fit in my arms, scratching, hitting, pulling
away etc... So, I calmly took his little hands, held them together and in a
firm (not screaming) but very firm voice said "no sir, you do not hit
mommy"......that child's bottom lip curled all the way over almost to his
toes and he burst out into sobbing tears and hugged me for like 10 minutes
as if to say, "I'm so sorry momma".....It broke my heart, but it meant one
thing, HE UNDERSTOOD THAT MOMMY DIDN'T WANT HIM TO DO THAT, I was shocked!!!
I've never in 8 years had a reaction like that from Jameson, so all I can
say is, WOW, I've got one that may be more sensitive when it comes to
discipline... The future is currently looking bright!
Now, please don't think I'm comparing (I'm the middle of 4 children so I
know how devastating comparing is) but it is soooo true how different two
children are! Carson will be the brat of the family (like his daddy) LOL
Ok, go ahead and judge me, I had to make my confessions...
I just read over the drunken blog I did last night, and I really thought I
did a shout out to Carrie. Sorry, I dont know where it went! Eryk is sooooo
stinkin cute. I have got to get Carson another seat. His poor little feet
are hanging out of his seat now....
That is all you get, no apologies, I've been so freakin busy that I've had
no time to post. But I've spent the last hour reading and catching up and
all of you guys seem to have slacked off some too, so I dont feel too bad.
Updates:
Hubby: turned 30 this week. I threw him a big party that of which he was
hugging "johnny" at 11:30 which left me babysitting the crowd and being very
sober for most of the party. We're such light weights now, we never
drink....
Jameson: TURNS 8 on Monday, have a party planned for Sunday. Where have the
last 8 years gone? I know I'm getting old, saying such things, but my baby
boy is growing up. He is the little star of his fall baseball team, and it
makes me so proud as I have absolutely no athletic ability... He is getting
a digital camera and a bunch of clothes for his b day. The kid is such the
fashion gu-ru (SP?) but he picked out some awesome gear for his wardrobe
(makes momma proud)...
Carson: where do I start? 4 teeth....all over the place crawling....cant sit
him anywhere for a second.....he wants to walk, but I think it will be a few
months before he takes those first steps. Teething is a bitch.
Me: Wondering what happened to my period. No, not preggers, but I've had a
period every month until the last 2!! Took a few preggers tests, but they
were negative and it got me and hubs wondering if we really would like to
have another. We'd have a house full if those buggers weren't so doggone
expensive. Guys, I'm really considering it. What do you think? In this day
and age, are 3 children really the new 6? Is it that strange to want a 3rd
child? I really want another baby. Especially after seeing Katie's belly (so
cute I might ad).....People in my family would FREAK out, why in the hell
does that bother me???????
(skip this paragraph if you dont like baseball) My Sox are doing good in the
ALCS,,,,right now 10-1 over Cleveland. Those of you who dont know this, hubs
1st cousin, Trot Nixon, played for Boston for 11 years (very admirable for
the major leagues). We love him so much, but last year he went to Cleveland.
Ok so we pull for him, but when they play Boston, we pull for Boston, we got
so hooked when he was with Boston. Now they are playing for the AL
championship and our home is so confused. We want to see him do well, but we
want our Sox to go back to the World Series, again....sorry, I know this is
boring, but we are a baseball family. I love Boston....I hope they go play
the Rockies in the WS... ok I'll stop with the baseball. We're in game 6
tonight (hence, why I'm so talkative, I'm drinking wine) so shoot me...
I watched a strange movie last night that I highly recommend, Knocked
Up....really funny, some drug humor, but such a real story line. really bad
acting, but I loved the movie, it was cute and funny at times..
Work is hectic as ever but I'm loving it.
Congrats to Katie with the "its a boy" news....looks like we're the blogger
mom's of boys crew. Hey, Nikki, I got an idea, lets get preggers and go
through all of it together. Hey, dont listen to me, it is the wine talking
:) E, Evan is such a cutie....wow he is growing so fast...all boy....Ky I
want to see some pics of LB sometime.
Ok, I'll get back to the game, just wanted to say hello and give my shout
outs, I'll try not to be such a stranger.
Take Care People!
Folks, this is absolutely my most favorite season of the year. The smell of
Fall, the crisp air.....I just love it!! I'm unusually pleasant this week,
and it totally is the weather. Now in about a month or so, I'll get my
seasonal killer sinus infection and totally be miserable, thanks to the
farmers picking cotton, corn, beans followed by peanuts and God knows what
else... But none the less, I'll bask in the glory of this gorgeous weather
for now!
I took the boys out to play in the yard and got some neat shots of them in
my Flowers. Yes, I have the typical country display of the antique wagon
wheel and plow (both of mine are authentic, no faker here...)....thought
these turned out neat..
And if you look closely, you'll notice what Carson's shirt says....
Monkey See
Monkey Do
Monkey Get in Trouble TOO!
I've emailed a post like 3 times and it has not shown up yet!!
Thanks Rosie, I'm stealing your title and changing it a bit...
I am going to have to get off the reality shows soon! This season of Big
Brother has had me at many highs and soo many lows that I cant stand it! I
began the season in love with the Donotos'
Dick
and
Danielle but
I soon got tired of the screaming and hollering from Dick and the fake
crying (rubbing dry cheeks) that Danielle did....their turning on America's
Player Eric was
the final straw.....so none of my favs are in the final two, and honestly I
could care less who wins, because father and daughter will spit the
money......I realized today that I've wasted many Sun,Tues and Thurs nights
watching this show for the finale to be so incredibly annoying!
And I ask myself, should you do this to yourself again and watch Survivor?
Oh, I'm so excited about that show!!
